This blog post is going up embarrassingly late. But, hey, late is better than never. Right? We stayed at Homewood Suites located in Orlando, Florida back in December 2022. This hotel is part of a bunch of new development that is going on in the area and very conveniently located just outside of Disney property line! It was a 10 - 15 minute drive away from Hollywood Studios, depending on traffic, which is the park we visited this trip. I will have a complete and detailed itinerary on all that in a different blog post to come soon!

“They accept two dogs up to 50 lbs per room. At the time of booking, their pet fee was $75 for 1 - 5 nights stay, which is non-refundable. Heads up for my cat people, they are also allowed in this hotel.
You know me, I traveled with both Maximus and Mia (our two rescue pitties), like I always do! This hotel is dog and large breed friendly. They are also breed inclusive, which we appreciate endlessly and is so important for us! They accept up to two dogs up to 50 lbs per room. At the time of booking, their pet fee was $75 for 1-5 night(s) stay, which is non-refundable. Heads up for my cat people, they are also allowed in this hotel. If I am not mistaken, if you stay on property longer than this time frame there are additional fees. We only stayed three nights, so this did not apply to us.
They also have a $10 / night self parking fee. Free hotel breakfast (which of course we took advantage of) and wifi in the rooms. Check in is at 3:00 PM and check out is at 11:00 AM. I've included pictures above of the breakfast area, which was jam packed each morning we were there. But they never once ran out of fresh food to feed everyone. Free coffee in the lobby as well! They have a small "shop" located next to the front desk, in the event you forgot something (which we did, toothpaste! eek!) or want a quick snack / drink in a bind.

We arrived around mid day to check in. This trip took place right before the holidays so the hotel was really buzzing with people. There was a short line to check in when we got there but the front desk staff was quick and efficient. We are Hilton Honors members, but initially front desk did not provide us with our water bottles and freebies as they usually do. We were in such a rush to get into our room and start the trip, I didnt mind much. I did go to front desk our first night to request some, and they gave us 4 bottles of water to make up for it. Cannot say enough good things about front desk staff throughout our entire stay here. Everyone was always happy to help, knowledgeable, and polite!
Once I got us all checked in, we proceeded to our room, which was located on the second floor of the building.
The Rooms
We secured a one bedroom king suite, and it was great! Our room was located at the very end of the hall, far away from the elevators, but we didn't mind as this reduces the noise of traffic of fellow guests. Everything at this hotel still feels brand new. The room was so spacious and spotless. As you enter immediately to our right was the kitchen. It came fully stocked with anything you might need to cook during your stay. Plenty of plates, cups, bowls, utensils, etc. There is a microwave, dishwasher, fridge and coffee maker. There is also a small table with two chairs for your convenience. We actually had dinner here our first night.

The living room is located straight ahead. There is a comfortable couch, extra seating and a smart TV located here. We moved one of the end tables to another area to make space, and this is actually where we placed our two dog crates for the pups to stay in during the times we were away.

The bedroom was spacious and COLD, which we loved! This is possibly the first hotel room we stay in where we thought it was too cold and we had to adjust the thermostat, hah! The bed was very comfortable. The room features two nightstands, a dresser, a smart TV and a desk with a desk chair. The bathroom is accessed through the bedroom. The sink and counter is located right outside, with the shower and toilet in their own private area. Directly next to the bathroom vanity there is a spacious closet for you to tuck away all of your luggage, and hang whatever you do not want to get wrinkled. You can see the double doors to the closet, and the closet itself, in the first and second photos above.

Our days at the parks were long and we didnt really have a chance to take advantage of everything the hotel had to offer. But I wanted to share some photos I managed to take while exploring the property our first night there. There is a great decent sized gym with a wide variety of different machines and equipment at your disposal. It looked so nice that we actually walked in to take a closer look around. Everything in here looked brand new and barely used! Located in this same area is the coin washer and drier machines. The hotel also has a large pool with a slide! It was pretty chilly during our trip. Central Florida had a cold front come through and it was in the 40s. For this South Floridian, that is the hardest of no's! So, unfortunately, I didnt take any photos of the pool area.
Just a short walk across the hotel there is a new shopping center being developed called Flamingo Crossings. Everything was already done, but most of the storefronts were empty when we visited. But it looks like there will be a variety of shops and many restaurants here, which will be so convenient in the future! In-between the short walk over to Flamingo Crossings there were two very large grassy areas that were great for walking Maximus and Mia every day. We saw several other guests taking advantage of this open area with their furry friends also!
We are actually already planning a trip back!
Maybe I am biased, because I truly am the definition of a Disney Adult, but Disney during the holidays is just so special! I am already planning a trip for the holidays again later this year. Currently debating splurging and staying on Disney property in one of their resorts. But if that fails, we will more than likely end up right here all over again! Definitely recommend Homewood Suites at Flamingo Crossings Town Center!
Until next time xo, Jules.
